COMPETITION BRIEF

What does the future look like? The year 2067 to be precise.

We invite participants to envision the future of urban spaces: What will our cities, our living spaces, our kitchens be like? Will we be growing our own food in a kitchen greenhouse? What kind of materials will we use? How will the water flow and how will the oven burn?
As Meker celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2017, we want to look ahead. To imagine the kitchens we’ll have in another fifty years.
We want designers to imagine with us. Go to the wildest, farthest extreme in designing the future. Research how kitchens were, how they’ve evolved, and what they could become.
