After studying industrial design, communication design and book art in Halle and Florence, Amelie worked for Studio Marije Vogelzang in the Netherlands. During her studies she developed a strong interest in design fiction and critical design. She has co-organized several events concerning internet culture and surveillance and is planning to continue work in this field. She is interested in the potential of of the unfinished and in how fiction shapes reality. By creating objects that clearly belong in the realm of the imaginary but are then put them in a real everyday environment she aims to learn about people’s needs, wishes, opinions and feelings about existing or future technologies and their impact on everybody’s life.
