The V&A is the UK’s leading museum of art and design. Assistant Curator, Rowan Bain discussed how the V&A was actively engaging with designers in the Middle East- through the collections, touring exhibitions, events and partnerships. She described the process of bringing Najla el-Zein’s major installation Wind Portal to the V&A in 2013 for London Design Week. Rowan Bain joined the Victoria and Albert Museum as Assistant Curator in 2010. As a member of the V&A’s Middle East Department she has curated displays and high profile events relating to contemporary design practice in the region.
